Buying from Summit
What brands do you carry?
Our floor is built around Samsung and LG — the two lines our technicians are factory-certified on, and the two we can service fastest. We also stock GE, Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Amana, Speed Queen, and Midea, and we can special-order most models we do not keep in the warehouse.
Why are your prices competitive with the big-box stores?
We buy directly from the manufacturers, we run two stores instead of two hundred, and we do our own delivery and installation instead of paying a third-party carrier. On identical models we will match any written local price — and the total usually favors us once delivery, altitude tuning, and haul-away are counted.
Do you price match?
Yes. Bring a written quote or a screenshot from a local retailer on the identical model number, and we will match it. Clearance and open-box units are already below match pricing, so they are excluded.
Can you help me plan a whole kitchen?
That is most of what we do. Bring your measurements — or your contractor — to either showroom and we will spec the package, check cutouts and clearances, work in every stacking rebate, and schedule the deliveries around your countertop install.
Delivery & installation
Getting it into your house
How much is delivery, and how fast is it?
Delivery is $89 in the Boulder metro, $149 on the wider Front Range, and $199 to mountain communities — free on orders over $1,999. In-stock appliances reach most addresses in 2–4 days; delivery with professional installation is typically 5–7 days.
Do you install, or just drop it off?
We install. That includes water lines, drain and vent connections, leveling, anti-tip brackets, and altitude re-jetting on gas appliances — Boulder County sits above 5,000 feet, and factory jets are set for sea level.
Will you take my old appliance?
Yes — $40 per unit and the crew takes it on the same trip. We disconnect it, protect your floors on the way out, and recycle what can be recycled, including proper refrigerant recovery on refrigerators and freezers.
How do I know it will fit?
We measure before we load. Send us your doorway width, stair turns, and cabinet cutout, or use our measuring guide — and if it will not clear, we will tell you before you buy, not on delivery day.
Can I pick it up myself?
Absolutely. Most in-stock items are ready the same day at the Boulder showroom. Bring straps and a blanket, and we will help you load.
Open-box & clearance
Open-box, scratch-and-dent, and floor models
What exactly is an open-box unit?
An appliance that left the warehouse and came back — a customer changed the layout, a kitchen ran late, or a delivery was refused for a reason unrelated to the appliance. Most were never installed and carry the full factory warranty. Every listing states the condition, the grade, and the exact blemish.
Is scratch-and-dent risky?
Not mechanically. Scratch-and-dent means cosmetic damage — a scuffed side panel, a dented wrapper corner — on a unit that works perfectly. We photograph the actual blemish on the actual unit, and most of it disappears once the appliance is installed between cabinets.
What warranty do open-box units carry?
Most carry the full manufacturer warranty because they were never installed. Scratch-and-dent and floor models carry a minimum 90-day Summit guarantee, and the listing tells you which applies before you buy. Summit Protection Plans can be added to most units at checkout.
Can I see it before I buy it?
Please do. Every open-box unit is a single serial number sitting in one of our two buildings, and we would rather you look at it in person than be surprised. Call ahead and we will pull it out for you.
Warranty & service
After the sale
Who fixes it if it breaks?
We do. Our factory-trained techs work out of both stores — no subcontractors, no national call center. The $99 diagnostic is applied in full toward the repair when you approve the work.
Do you service appliances I did not buy from you?
Yes, on Samsung and LG and most other major brands. Customers who bought from us get scheduling priority during busy stretches, but we do not turn anyone away.
How long is the warranty?
One year parts and labor from the manufacturer on every new appliance, plus our own 30-day store guarantee on everything we sell. Sealed-system components run much longer — LG inverter compressors and direct-drive motors are covered up to ten years.
Should I buy the extended plan?
It depends on the appliance. On a simple top-load washer, probably not. On a French-door refrigerator with an ice maker and a screen, or a dual-fuel range, the electronics are where the money goes and the plan usually pays for itself. Ask us and we will tell you honestly which side of that line your model falls on.
Payment & returns
Money, financing, and changing your mind
What payment methods do you take?
All major credit and debit cards, cash, check, the Summit Advantage Card, and PeakLease lease-to-own. Online orders are processed through Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
Do you offer financing?
Two ways: promotional no-interest terms through the Summit Advantage Card (12 months on $499+, 18 months on kitchen packages $1,999+), and no-credit-needed lease-to-own up to $4,000 through PeakLease with a 90-day early purchase option.
What is your return policy?
Unopened, uninstalled new appliances can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund less the delivery fee. Once an appliance has been installed and used, it falls under the manufacturer warranty rather than a return. Open-box and clearance units are final sale unless the listing says otherwise — which is exactly why we encourage you to look at them in person.
How do rebates work?
We file them with you at the counter. Instant rebates come off the register price immediately; mail-in rebates and prepaid cards are submitted the same day with a copy of your invoice, and we keep a copy in case anything goes sideways.
